The Mac's living history
Thanks to Daring Fireball for linking me to Folklore, a community site where original Mac team members are sharing their stories about the development process. I was fortunate enough to attend MacHack 2001, and hear some of these stories first-hand from Andy Hertzfeld, Bill Atkinson, Steve Wozniak, etc., but there are plenty of others I've found and enjoyed. Here are some highlights from the currently posted stories:- It's the Moustache that Matters -- How to get on the fast-track to promotion in the early 1980s
- A Message for Adam -- The problem with being a pundit is that you begin to think you're always right.
- Donkey -- Insight into Bill Gates' so-called 'talent'
- Quick, Hide In This Closet! -- When Steve Jobs says 'No', do it anyway
- Make A Mess, Clean It Up! -- Insight into creative minds
- Are You Gonna Do It? -- What's the best way to say "We're through?"
