Just say 'sauce'

It's been nearly a month since I got back from San Francisco, and I keep forgetting to blog about my food observations:

1) Before San Francisco, I had never seen the word "aioli" before. The day I landed there, I saw that word twice. They must really love their aioli.

2) I have this strange cognitive quirk, where I substitute words accidentally and/or can't keep the definitions of two simliar words straight. So when I saw that there was a "tapas" restaurant next to my hotel, I read "tamales" restaurant. Little did I know that "tapas" means "ingredients thrown together randomly for nauseating effect."
