From personal experience, I can tell you that having AppleTalk active in OS X severely cripples the operating speed of your TCP connections. You've been advised.

An imaginary conversation with the religious right:

Jeff: So, you're unhappy with Colin Powell advocating condom use?
Right: Yes! Kids shouldn't be using condoms, as it gives a false sense of security.
Jeff: So would you be happier if kids switched to the Pill, which provides no protection against HIV?
Right: No! There should be no sex outside of marriage. It makes God unhappy.
Jeff: Ok, no more premarital sex.... does that mean I should masturbate to pornography instead?
Right: No! Pornography is demeaning to women.
Jeff: Isn't denying women the right to choose just as demeaning?
Right: You heathen!

Yesterday's Rufus Wainwright concert was very enjoyable. I kind of liked the last concert better, as most of the songs were brand-new and unreleased at the time. It's a lot more exciting hearing songs you've never heard before -- this time around, I basically knew how everything went. Nonetheless, I'm glad I went (and I'm glad I had kickass seats).

Some people fear rejection. I, however, have come to expect it. Update: Well, even though I expect it, it doesn't mean it always happens. I need to pick either optimism or pessimism and stick with it.

My PowerBook is in the shop for two days... I feel sad and lonely and worried, even though my laptop is in the capable hands of trained technicians who will run comprehensive diagnostics. Isn't it lame how worked up I get over my computer?

Blogger Pro is cool, but I don't see the title field for posts. I'm going to try it out on a Windows PC and see if it works there.
