Once upon a time, there was an old man who lived down the street that Jeff lives on. Whenever he was driving and saw Jeff in his car or getting out of his car, the old man would either shake his fist at Jeff or flip Jeff the bird. Jeff doesn't know what he did to invoke the rage of the elderly, but he figures it could only be 1) Jeff's non-American car, 2) Jeff's driving style, or 3) Jeff's beautiful bleached hair. Jeff is contemplating walking down the street and asking the man what the big fat deal is.

That concludes today's Third-Person Storytelling.

I'm planning to be a math major, and I have a UNIX-based operating system... it's about time I got around to downloading and installing TeX.

While this article reinforces things I've believed for a long time (mainly, if you put a computer in a child's hands early enough, any child can become a "computer genius"), it's still amazing nonetheless. I'm especially astounded by how Indian kids can use an English Internet without actually learning English.

This is a test of Blogger Pro's new Mail-To-Blog feature. I think this is a killer app -- I mean, emailing to your website? It seems so obvious now. I wish I thought of it. :)

Today a girl cancelled a date with me in perhaps the most painful way I've ever experienced: by telling me she totally forgot (and then giving me a couple of excuses why she can't make it).

When you've spent an entire weekend thinking about a date, and the girl tells you she forgot about it, your heart feels like it's melting and dripping on your other organs.

I was thinking.... if the DMCA prohibits "circumvention devices", wouldn't debuggers (like the venerable MacsBug) count? Should we uphold secure media control over crappy code?

I'm kind of interested in becoming Amish, but so far, they haven't emailed me back.
